Jason Zahn

Jason Zahn (b. 1979) is an American contemporary abstract painter living and working outside of Baltimore, Maryland.

His current interests explore the feeling of imagined landscapes and spaces, combining abstraction with recognizable imagery and iconography into work that lies somewhere between dream and reality.

The introduction of realistic elements balances the abstraction in a way that provides tension between a real and imagined world, and gives a viewer things to think and wonder about.

Zahn also uses poetry and writing in the process, as either a catalyst for, or response to his work.
